Created by functional dietitian and strength coach Kelly Schmidt, who has lived with T1D for over 33 years, The GRACE Method™ is more than a coaching framework—it’s a blueprint for lasting transformation. This method blends clinical strategy with lived experience to address the root causes of blood sugar instability, hormone imbalance, and burnout. GRACE is how we get back to thriving.
What GRACE Stands For:
G — Gut Health
The foundation of whole-body health. A disrupted gut means more inflammation, lower insulin sensitivity, and more T1D chaos. We use real food, fiber, functional testing, and strategic nutrition to restore gut integrity.
Client outcome: Less bloating, steadier blood sugar, and stronger immune function.
R — Regulate with Routines
Blood sugar loves rhythm. With 40+ variables influencing glucose, building daily structure—around food, hydration, sleep, and supplements—is your power move.
Client outcome: More energy, more control, and real-life consistency.
A — Adrenal & Stress Resilience
Chronic stress is an invisible blood sugar bomb. We rebalance your stress response with nervous system support, adrenal testing, breathwork, and recovery routines.
Client outcome: Fewer crashes, better sleep, and a calmer mind-body connection.
C — Clean Living & Detox Habits
Toxins, hormones, and liver overload often get overlooked. But your liver is central to blood sugar and hormone balance. Through seasonal resets, food-based detox, and a low-toxin lifestyle, we help your body lighten the load.
Client outcome: Better insulin sensitivity, clearer skin, fewer headaches, and more metabolic ease.
E — Exercise with Intention
Movement is medicine—but only when it matches your biology. As a strength coach, I help you train smarter, not harder. We pair workouts with blood sugar data, hormone needs, and real-life schedules.
Client outcome: More lean mass, fewer lows, and confidence in your strong body.
Why I Created the GRACE Method™
After decades of managing my own T1D and working with thousands of clients, I saw a gap in care. Most diabetes management is reactive, not proactive. And frankly, it’s exhausting. I built this method to bring clarity, strategy, and empowerment to the T1D journey—rooted in real tools that work. This is how we ditch the band-aids and support the body from the inside out.
