Hi there, How are you doing? Thriving—or just trying to keep up?
I take pride in giving 110% to my work and the energy I pour into helping others. It’s a part of who I am, and I wouldn’t change it.
But last week, I hit a wall—a peak of “too much.”
On Saturday, as I moved from one event to another, my phone was relentless—texts, emails, and alerts demanding my attention. I had just wrapped up one commitment and was preparing for another, but in that moment, it all felt overwhelming.
(Yes, those feelings were bubbling beneath the surface in the picture above.)
When I got into my car, I stopped. I sat still. I knew that if I didn’t calm myself, the anxiety building inside could make it unsafe to drive. So I paused, took deep breaths, and allowed myself to find silence. Only then was I able to steady my mind and body and move forward.
Here’s what I want you to take from this:
- Thriving isn’t about doing it all. It’s about knowing when to pause, reset, and care for yourself.
We live in a world that glorifies busyness—especially in January, when health advice, programs, and “new year, new you” messages flood our feeds. On top of that, I’ve muted dozens of ads telling me I need a business coach to make my practice better.
The truth is, I don’t need to do more, and neither do you. What we both need is to focus on what truly matters.
This week, I invite you to:
- Mute the noise. Step back from notifications and the endless scroll.
- Pause intentionally. Meditate, take a walk, or sit in silence—whatever helps you breathe.
- Celebrate your efforts. Remember, progress comes from showing up, not perfection.
Thriving isn’t about pushing harder.
You’re doing better than you think, and I’m reminding myself of the same.
