Walking Can Be a Form of Medicine For Diabetes

Stepping outside for a walk with type 1 diabetes involves more than lacing up our shoestrings. While taking a stroll can be magic for post-meal blood sugar management, it can also drop our blood sugars unexpectedly.

However, one of the most powerful tools in diabetes management and in health: is the power of a routine.

After repetition, we can understand how our blood sugar will behave. I liken this to a parent, to understand blood sugar needs like understanding the needs of a newborn baby.

Yes, there are a lot of variables to think through, but once we understand it, we can do far more than walk around the block and have beautiful numbers. Use these questions to understand your diabetes better.

If you need help or some insight on better supporting your blood sugar management, fill out the below form and I can lend some advice and see if we are a good fit for 1:1 coaching or if you are a great fit for one of my future programs.
