Do things seem a little hectic for you juggling work, family, friends, life and oh ya, health? I don’t know about you but our day-to-day American lifestyle is busy! To ease your busy breeze I’ve included some simple tips on how to enjoy your balancing act and advice to help step up your health.

– I was in a spinning class last week and my instructor stated, “Okay everyone, even though this is a hard hill, don’t forget to breathe.” Just as she advised to breathe, I am providing a friendly reminder to keep your metabolism fueled efficiently. Eating three hours after a meal is perfect timing for a snack. Each morning grab snacks like yogurt, string cheese, fruit, carrots and hummus for a morning and afternoon nosh.

– Rise 5 to 10 minutes early and take this time to stretch. Stretching is simple and can benefit your flexibility, circulation, energy and balance.

– Whether you have a purse or murse, carry a water bottle with you always. Staying hydrated can help with digestion, be good for your heart, brain, kidneys and muscles. Drinking water goes well beyond just quenching your thirst.

– Evaluate you hunger. If you have string cravings during the day/night you may be snacking on the wrong things or waiting too long to eat. Be sure to eat meals and snacks that have a combination of fat, protein and carbohydrate.

Cheers to good health! Have a healthy and fit day!
