My 7 Keys to Happiness

These are a few things that I could not go without.

1. Walking

2. Painted Nails
If you are a female a happy colour of polish and toes can brighten your day. Treat yourself or do it yourself. I prefer saving money for other pampering and do my own.

3. Saturday Morning Market, Brekky and Gym Routine

4. Dates
In this occasion I am talking about the activity and not the food. Even though dates are so delicious and cure a sweet tooth. Dates with friends, co-worker and/or partner are crucial, and fun. They break up a tough week of work, mix up the monotony and always lend the opportunity to try new places, new food and/or a new activity! Call up a friend and schedule in a black dress Friday night dinner or school night walk in the park.

5. Education
Education can mean a variety of things but the bottom line is if something can teach you a thing or two, jump on it. This can be a new book, following a new blog, picking up the newest health mag from the grocery, trying a new class (cooking, pilates, pottery, writing, etc) and more. I am always eager to gain new knowledge and for example this week I have been taking a few training sessions to perfect my lifting form. Never did I know how much I lacked tightening my stomach muscles when pumping some iron.

6. Personal Days
Have you ever given yourself some time to be alone and just veg out, walk a new area or sit in a coffee shop? If not, book a sitter for the kids and give yourself some alone time. Even if it’s just an hour, you will feel refreshed and happier.

7. Food

4. Dates – ironically I mean Dates in both extreme ways – the food and the company of another person. Dates are so sweet and stand in as candy when I have a craving.

5. Adventure/Travel

Growing up with Type 1 Diabetes has profoundly influenced my path, converting my personal struggles into a dedicated mission to uplift others navigating the same condition. My goal? Helping you move past managing your diabetes to a place where you’re confidently thriving—and where T1D is just a part of your story, not the whole thing.
