Come noon, what is your lunch routine? PLEASE tell me you don’t skip this mid-day meal. If you do, I advise to start bringing something to nibble on while you earn a living like fruit or a natural meal/granola bar.

Back to the focus of this post, do you pack or eat out? If you eat out, what type place to you attend? Is it Subway-like or is it more along the lines of TGI Friday’s?

To be completely honest, I rarely eat out during the work week due to extremely busy days and to pinch a penny or two and save a few inches on my waisteline. I’ve suggested some valuable lunch ideas that will please your scale and your wallet.

My go-to:

I love raw veggies and everyday I pack a small Ziplock bag of vegetables and I vary them week-by-week to prevent boredom. This week, I had radishes, carrots and cawiflour. I additionally pack a veggie burger (I recently read that diabetics that consume soy regurarly have a lower risk of kidney failure). Boca’s regular veggie burger taste like cardboard to me but they have AMAZING Bruchetta and Mozerrela Mushroom falvors.

Growing up with Type 1 Diabetes has profoundly influenced my path, converting my personal struggles into a dedicated mission to uplift others navigating the same condition. My goal? Helping you move past managing your diabetes to a place where you’re confidently thriving—and where T1D is just a part of your story, not the whole thing.
