Mike and Cindy O’Connell of Westerville announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Elizabeth, to Steven Schmidt, son of Guyla and Steve Scraper of Evansville, Ind.


The bride-to-be graduated from St. Francis DeSales High School in 2002, Ohio University in 2006 and Loyola University Chicago in 2007. She is a registered dietician and works as a business development manager for Database Consultants in Melbourne, Australia.

Her fiance graduated from Benjamin Bosse High School in 1997 and received a degree in computer information systems from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business in 2002. He is a sales engineer for IBM.

The wedding will take place at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 24 at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Westerville.
