New research published yesterday in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute found that women who drink alcohol daily have an increased risk of cancer. I don’t think this should sound too alarming (yet it is not in my favor) but it can serve as a reminder to consume all good/bad/neutral foods in moderation.

One rule that I try to live by is to not eat anything more than fives times a week. We need various foods in our diet to help assure we ingest all of the essential vitamins and minerals. So when all is said and done, if you like red wine, have a glass. If you like a cold one with you dinner to wind-down, have a beer. But just be cautious that you are not abusing the drink and don’t have it every single day. Cheers!

Have a healthy and fit day!
